Richard A. Gershon, Ph.D., (Ohio University) is Professor Emeritus at Western Michigan University where he specializes in Media, Telecommunications and Business Strategy. Dr. Gershon has twice been selected for national teaching honors, including the Steven H. Coltrin Professor of the Year Award by the International Radio & Television Society and the Barry Sherman Award for Teaching Excellence by the Management & Economics division of the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC). Dr. Gershon
is an internationally recognized scholar having authored eight books and over
50 journal articles and book chapters. His most recent works include Media, Telecommunications & Business Strategy 3rd. ed. (Routledge, 2020) as well as Digital Media and Innovation: Management and Design Strategies in Communication (Sage, 2017).
